Reiki means “universal life energy” in Japanese.  We are all made up of this energy.

A spiritual practice, Reiki was developed in 1922 by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist scholar of religion.

Reiki is a form of therapy that uses simple hands-on, no touch or visualization techniques to create a better flow of life energy in a person.

A Reiki treatment consists of laying the hands on or near the body in a pattern and allowing the energy of life to flow through the hands to the person being treated.

Reiki practitioners are trained to detect and alleviate problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional and spiritual level.
